PETER PETKOVSEK

 

JENNY AINSWORTH (Stage Manager, Lighting Design) is the Founder and Director of Invisible Wall Productions, a full service Arts, Events and Theatrical Management Company based in New York City. Gilgamesh is Invisible Wall Production’s debut production. Jenny has a Bachelor of Music (Arts Management) from the Australian Institute of Music and a MFA (Theatre Arts – Stage Management) from Columbia University. She has a range of Arts, Events and Theatrical Management experience which runs the gamut from co-founding a semi-professional orchestra in Sydney and running its concerts for several years; managing a national singing program for seniors at Musica Viva Australia (one of Australia’s largest non-profit music organisations); acting as the PR contact at a New York Fashion Week Runway Showing; working in company management at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center; and extensive experience as a stage manager working the full spectrum of New York and regional theatre, including Broadway.

 

NATALIE GERSHTEIN (Producer) holds an MFA in Theatre Management & Producing from Columbia University. In New York, Natalie has worked with 101 Productions (for the Broadway openings of Annie and The Heiress); Snug Harbor Productions during their Off-Broadway opening of Emotional Creature, Eve Ensler’s new play (writer of The Vagina Monologues); Lincoln Center Festival as the Immigration Assistant; The Public Theater on the Under the Radar Festival, Ars Nova Theater, and as the Assistant Company Manager on Here Lies Love.

 

SARAH LANG (Lighting Design) studied Theater and Political Science at Boston College, where she began designing, directing, and producing. After graduating, she taught 5th grade in St. Louis for two years, also earning her Masters in Education. Sarah has recently relocated to New York from Bellevue, NE, and works as a lighting designer, producer, and teaching artist.

 

EVA MLINAR (Graphic Design) is an art historian and visual artist based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She works in different media, such as painting, illustration and graphic design and has had several group and solo exhibitions. Currently she works as an illustrator for Ljubljana City Theatre and designs book covers for the biggest Slovenian book publisher Mladinska knjiga. PETER ZARGI (Composer) resides in Ljubljana, twisting knobs, composing and teaching under various pseudonyms.

 

MICHAEL BRAHCE (First Blind Man) Past credits include: Roundheads and Peakheads (MoonRover); Candide, Babes in Arms, A Christmas Carol (Berkshire Theatre Group); The Decay of Cities: Orchard-less and The Good Person of Szechwan (Enthuse Theater); Spoon River Anthology, The Cherry Orchard, and Od (Columbia Stages). As a member of Kickwheel Ensemble Theater, Michael has appeared in the K.E.T. productions of Flark! and DARK: An End of the World Play with Music and an Exercise Bike. 

 

MICHAEL DONALDSON (Oldest Blind Man) has worked with Peter Petkovsek on The Weird Tree and as Semyonov Pitschik in The Cherry Orchard, www.michael-Donaldson.com.

 

MARIETTA LAFARGE* (Oldest Blind Woman) came to New York in another century, when she was 18 years-old -- to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She began performing off-Broadway and in musical revues; then traveled extensively with Broadway show tours, working mostly in comedy, musical comedy and political ('Upstairs at the Downstairs') satire. She has been an actor for most of her life, loving every aspect of the creative process — even the auditions! Marietta can be seen in the Indie short film, Bedbugs and Beyond. 

 

LUCA NICORA (Second Blind Man) is an actor, model and butoh dancer. He has been practicing martial arts, yoga, clowning, butoh and physical theatre for several years. As a child he dreamt to become a clown but at age 10 he saw an Italian production of Romeo and Juliet with such an energy that awoke in him a passion for acting. Since then he has been in shows every year and has since moved to NYC to pursue his training. Luca graduated at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Some of his recent acting/dancing credits include: 'Orange is the New Black', Deadly Shewolf Assassin at Armageddon, by Fred Ho (La Mama ETC), Lady in Red Converses With Diablo, by Shophia Schrank (Art@Renaissance), NY Nuts (Houdson Guild Theatre), Devenir, based on Artaud’s To be Done with God’s Judgment (MAAS). www.lucanicora.com.

 

VALERIE O’HARA (Blind Woman Praying) took to the stage following an extended run in Corporate America. For the past several years, she has played mothers, grandmothers, and other women in and around NYC, and is having the time of her life. She has acted in classic and modern plays that people recognize and over a dozen new, unpublished works. Favorite roles include Amanda Wingfield (The Glass Menagerie, with CNR Drama), Kate Keller (All My Sons, with On Wheels Productions), Clairee Belcher (Steel Magnolias, with the Heights Players), and Juliet's Nurse (Romeo and Juliet, with Hudson Warehouse). 

 

AIDAA PEERZADA (Young Blind Woman) is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon, BFA Acting 2013. Upon her move to NYC she worked with In The Basement Theatre Co. during their residency with Arts @ Renaissance. Aida has had the privilege to study traditional performing arts in her second home, Pakistan, through the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop and in Bulgaria with the Rhodopi International Theatre Lab. In the spring of 2012 she wrote Sheherizade, an adaptation of The Arabian Nights, for CMU drama’s Playground festival, which then premiered in the NYC Fringe Festival that same year

 

MAX PETTIT (Sixth Blind Man) NYC debut. Max is a training actor and drama therapist. Some roles include Mayor Anton (The Inspector General), Rev. Hale (The Crucible) and Van (Dog Sees God).
